Megan Rosene

At a young age, Megan’s grandfather encouraged her to identify different instruments in Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf. A love of music was born. Barbershop quartet at aged 10 meant any chance to sing in harmony was snapped up! Choir participation ensued nationally and internationally as a soloist in the NZ Secondary Students Choir. Naturally Megan completed a Bachelor of Music majoring in rock music performance and composition. Assessment involved performing at some of Dunedin’s most iconic music venues.

Megan’s journey with BMT began in 2022 playing Frances in their dinner theatre show Blue Eyes. Then it was on with the glitter as a Diva in Priscilla Queen Of The Desert.

Outside music interests, Megan works as an Immigration Adviser, and is married to her super supportive husband Jonathan. Mother of two she says, “I watch (aka run around after) my two children as they pursue dance interests and I asked myself, why not give musical theatre a go?” We are pleased she did.
